Thank you to everyone that participated this weekend at King's Kids in Pauls Valley.  The project was a success and looks great.  James Tobey, the founder of King's Kids was so grateful and is very excited for the kids to see the freshly remodeled community center.  We worked really hard and got a lot accomplished.  I would like to list some of the items that we did and give a special thanks to those involved.

Special Thanks to:

-  James Tobey - Founder of King's Kids for being right there beside us the entire time and for all of his hard work, also to James's brother-in-law Doyle.
-  Lisa Shobert, Bill Sims, Jason Williams, Selena Williams, Gavin Williams, Candy Ferchau, Kelly Childers and Cindy Dollard for all of your hard work before and during this project.  Bill Sims is truly the "Rock Star" for all of the long hours he put into this and for being apart of all of the more difficult tasks that we did this weekend.
-  Annie Vanek, Baily Bosworth, Emiley Bosworth and David Childers for your help with the planning and the fund raisers.
-  Paul Davis for taking the lead to make sure the 1/4" veneer sheets were installed on the ceiling.
-  Mark Moore for doing all of the electrical work and for helping out with the ceiling installation.
-  Gerald Hall for repairing the leaks in the roof.
-  John Tanner for installing the new water fountain and assisting with the ceiling work.
-  Chuck Bailey for installing the new wainscoting and drywall repairs.
-  Amy Wright for taking the lead on making sure there were plenty of food, drinks and treats.
-  Tammy Gassaway for the deserts and Vickie Reid for all of the cold bottled drinks and the $80 donation.
-  David for helping with removing the thousands of metal clips and installing wood veneer sheets.
-  Robert, Judy, Danny, Ron and Steve Blackwell for coming down and helping out.  We are so proud to be apart of the Iron Messengers.  This is a great ministry with a great bunch of christian bikers that are always there when we have a project.

-  Pastor Terry of the First Church of God in Pauls Valley for his support and for allowing us to hold a fund raiser in his church.
-  Della, President of Pauls Valley Chamber of Commerce for her support and advice.  The support of the Pauls Valley community was amazing and greatly appreciated, our fund raisers were better than expected.
-  Terry the manager of Gordon White's Lumber for their donation of $500 in materials.
-  Kay Sandberg of Sandberg & Spicer for donating all of the paint that we used.
-  Chris Jackson of Chris's Specialty Plumbing for his donation of the new drinking fountain.

-  Mark and Kelly Hamilton for their donation of items and $200 that they raised in their church in Bethany.
-  Ross Electric for donating the new exit signs and wiring.

Those that I have not mentioned above, Thank You Very Much for your help.  We could not of done this without each and everyone of you.

This was truly a group effort and we are very grateful and encouraged about what we have accomplished and what we can and will accomplish in the future together.  If we all give a little of our time, talents and treasures we can do a lot to help others without creating a strain or overwhelming ourselves.  In one weekend and less than $3000 in expenditures and donations we were able to accomplish the following:

-  Completely removed the old 16"x16" thermal tile ceiling and thousands of little metal clips that was holding the ceiling in place.
-  Installed 76 sheets of 1/4" maple veneer sheeting on the ceiling.  Mark Moore had to drop the ceiling fans and lights so we could install the sheets and then re-secure the 8' strip lights and re-hang the ceiling fans.
-  Mark Moore installed new exit signs and wired some of the existing light fixtures to be security night lights.
-  John Tanner ran the water and drain line then installed the new drinking fountain.
-  Repaired sheet-rock, installed wainscoting and completely painted the facility.
-  Gerald Hall stripped the old tar on the parapet wall and cap, then installed new mesh rag and mopped tar all over the parapet to fix and prevent any future leaks in the roof.
-  Power washed the exterior.
-  Did a deep cleaning and re-installed all of the table and chairs.
-  We provided King's Kids with children's bibles, coloring books, reading books, crayons, markers, pencils, drawing paper, paper towels, toilet paper, cups, plates, bowls and utensils.  If possible, please send more of these items to King's Kids as you can.  These items are expensive and many kids use this facility, James can really use the help to stay stocked up.

Please go to our website to see photos from this weekend and keep a eye out for the video.  We encourage you to tell others about our mission.  We are working hard to spread the word and grow, we have other upcoming projects that we need help with financially.  If you feel moved to help, please contact me to make arrangements.

Great Job Everyone!!!

God Bless,

Ken
