Friday I posted the latest project INOR was tackling on Saturday February 11th, and I am happy to say that not only is the job complete, the INOR crew was able to fix the homeowners heat unit that had been out for up to three years, replaced the broken hot water tank, with a new larger capacity one. But the action didn't stop there the homeowners previous wheel chair ramp had collapsed and it became difficult for her to even get outside safely. As I mentioned in the previous article thanks to the generous donations of Donnie and Jaylinn Neer, that provided all of the funds required for the ramp, and the donation of the hot tank coming from Mark Latham of
Diversified Construction, it was time for our all-star volunteer squad to step in. On Saturday morning the temperature gauge was sitting right at 23 degrees, but that wasn't going to stop this mission, INOR had 11 volunteers show up to get the job done. Overseen by INOR founder Ken Ferchau, the team worked very quickly to get this homeowner back to independence.
In less than 2 weeks In Need of Repairs, was able to meet with the homeowner, review her needs, secure the materials donations, get volunteer support and finish the job 100%. The total cost spent was $820.28 to fix everything noted and 52 man hours completed this life changing operation.
